Book Worm-ess

6th June 2014

I watch her staring at the pages,
Her nose deeply burried in her book,
Taking in each word as if it was a breath of fresh air.
I see the colours float in her mind,
as she imagines every scene.
Watch her lips part and curl,
as if she is one of the characters conversing with her allies.
Notice her face tense and wrinkle,
as soon as a table turns.
She is lost.
In a world of fiction.
She isn’t aware that I study her,
that it brings me joy to see someone give in to the power of
words, phrases and stories.
I watch her read.
I watch her mind expanding.
She is beautiful.
